If there's one thing we've learned in this business, it's that it pays to know the overall health of your home's plumbing. Getting to know how the plumbing in your home operates is vital to avoiding costly repairs down the road. Taking proactive steps can not only save you money, but also time and stress from unexpected home repairs.
For example, we’ve done thousands of service calls over the years when homeowners didn’t know the location of their water shut off. Another common issue we see time and time again are homes that have failing shut offs valves that shouldn’t be used as they’re in danger of breaking and causing damage. Knowing how to turn the water off in your home and having a working shut off valve can save thousands of dollars in repair costs when emergencies happen.
Given these recurring issues, we're excited to unveil a new service for our customers: a Plumbing Health and Safety Check! This is a proactive check that can be done yearly to make sure your pipes are in good working order. This check will be performed by a licensed plumbing professional and includes checking the main components of your water system (water heater, water pressure, visual inspection of accessible pipes) and alerting you to anything that could benefit from proactive maintenance.

Here are some questions to help you identify if this check is something you need:
Do you know how to turn off the water to your house?
How old is your water heater? Is it in good working order? Are their signs of rust on its exterior?
Does your water temperature fluctuate? Or not get hot enough?
Are there any weird smells or noises coming from your plumbing?
Does your house have excessive water pressure that can cause damage?
This service is priced at $369 and takes 1-2 hours depending on the size of the home.
